I remember being in the Reserves and we were deploying to Germany… I didn’t have any money because I was in school.  All I had in my closet worthy of a trip was a pink top and some black pants.    I put it on my bed and pondered how I was supposed to get money to go on a trip….so off to the Thrift store I went…. looking for anything Pink and Black.  The thrill of spending that 20.00 lasted me forever… I remember my most expensive item was this black short trench coat for 7.00.  It was my splurge item.   I remember finding my mom’s pink ceramic necklace and it gave me a lot of joy…And the trip was awesome.  It was the last trip I got to take overseas, I remember getting good pink and black comments… I felt sooo rich in that Pink and Black…
